    Easter EGG-citment

    Hop on over to the Amarillo Zoo for our third annual Easter EGG-citment! event. Kids can visit one of many treat stations to receive their Easter eggs filled with candy and goodies from costumed characters like Alice, the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, the March Hare, Bugs Bunny and others. Make sure to stop by and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Plus, don’t be late for a very important date … the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party!  Watch our lemurs, lions, tigers and other zoo animals enjoy their very own Easter baskets filled with special treats. All that plus live bunnies for kids to see and touch!

    Highlights of the day will include:

    • Easter Egg Hunts

    Ages:   Infant -3                    10:00 am   and    1:00pm

    4-5                   10:30am    and    1:30pm

    6-8                   11:00am    and    2:00pm

    • Kids are encouraged to bring their own Easter baskets or bag to collect candy-filled plastic Easter eggs during the scheduled Easter egg hunts.
    • Have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny from 11am – 1pm
    • Kids can decorate their own sugar cookie at the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party. Meet Alice, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts and the March Hare!
    • Face painting by AmaDazzle (extra fee applies).
    • Plant and take home your very own carrot garden at the children’s craft tent.
    • Even the Zoo animals will get in on the action with eggy-enrichments. The lions, tigers, monkeys and lemurs will be given “special egg treats” throughout the day.

    • Keep a look-out for the special GOLD eggs hidden around the zoo. Find one and redeem it at the Admissions Booth for a special grand prize. (one per child)
    • Live music from 11am – 2pm with Andy Chase Cundiff
    • Check out an egg-cellent exhibit on real animal eggs including replicas of whooping crane, golden eagle, tortoise, python and other eggs from the animal kingdom.

    Admission Fee:

    $5 for adults (ages 13 and up)

    $3 for children (ages 3-12)

    Children 2 and under are free
