An event for people young and old to learn about the importance of protecting endangered species and everyday actions that you can take to help protect our disappearing wildlife. Protecting threatended wildlife today is a legacy we leave our children and grandchildren, so that all people can experience ther rich variety of wildlife throughout the world. Throughout the day there will be exhibits and activities focusing on endangered wildlife, conservation, recycling and information on what you can to to help!

Discover your creative side with all the sighs and sounds at the Amarillo Zoo. Let the animals inspire you to tap into your artistic side and create beautiful art pieces to your hearts content. Local artists and volunteers will be on hand to demonstrate various art styles and even let you try your hand at sketching, watercolors, finger painting and more! Special children’s areas will let kids express their creative sides with modeling clay, crayons and chalk.
The Zoo animals will also get into the act creating their own version of art. Some will be available for purchase!
